http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/h/348 Now my mac mini - Tiger seems hanging forever at the boot up screen. A Apple log showed up with a message "Starting Mac OS X ..." and now almost 5 minutes passed, nothing happened ...
I restalled the mac. And followed the above link one more time and changed the /etc/ttys console line from std.57600 to std.9600. Now WOORKS!
Also want to say, new MAC users should not enable the openfirmware password since it blocked a lot of functionalities, read the notes before you do that and understand why, how, what ......
Apologies, I missed your earlier post. Glad you have it working, though you had to go through a reinstall to do it. Also sage advice regarding the OF password!
