Batch printing multiple PDF files

In previous iterations of Mac OS X if you double-clicked on multiple selected PDFs Preview.app would open them all in one window, then you could print them all with one print command.

In their wisdom Apple appears to have removed this capability for PDFs (it still remains for images). Or am I missing something, a modifier key maybe?

If Preview.app has definitely lost this capability is there any way to do it in Acrobat Pro, without combining the files and with the ability to choose Page Setup size (instead of having to rely on the System Preference). I know there are ways to do it in Acrobat but not without these caveats.

Maybe an Automator script is the only way? Is there a way to do this with Automator that will let us define the Page Setup size on the fly?

Hi Christiaan

Tiger's preview has seemed to have lost a bit from its previous Panther version, but here is a workaround.

You can batch print by creating a printer icon on your Desktop.
In Printer Setup Utility, select the printer under Printers, choose Create Desktop Printer. This will allow you to drag multiple items onto it on the desktop and batch print them.
