Movie downloads other than from iTunes - what is easy and safe?
What sites does the membership recommend to buy and download movies that are not in the iTunes library? I'm looking for something very easy technically to handle and am not sure where to go! Any advice on what works well is most appreciated.
All of the legal downloading services besides itunes use DRM that is not compatible with ipods. iTunes is much easier to use than any other service I've seen, even if you just want to watch movies on your computer.
eMusic.com (legally) sells music that are both in plain old MP3 format and are not DRM protected.
No experience with them though, so I can not comment on how easy it is to download their stuff and that sort of thing. But I have browsed their downloads and they have a lot of stuff I like, but most of it I already own on CD or I might consider trying them out.
Yes you are quite right, the OP was talking about movies. I glossed over that key word when reading the post. Sorry about that. So in that case, I have no suggestions for movies. Patrick
Well, if you like old stuff (really old), you can always try www.archive.org. Lots of public domain content. You may have to do a little conversion once you download it. However, I was usually able to do it within iTunes.
