If you used the install disk, it puts the various components in the right place automatically.

Then start Logic, and do as I describe above.

does what help?

Do you not see a picture above of where to access EZD on your channel strip?

and from i understand its not possible to load in garageband?

Yes, it is. EZD works fine in Logic, GarageBand and most other current DAWs.

I just downloaded EZplayerFree and it was a really simple download/install with no choices as to plugin format which leads me to believe you may be unfamiliar with how to actually insert a plugin within Logic. You'll need to have a software instrument track on your arrange window or in Logic-speak, an audio instrument. Click on that button under I/O that is circled in John Alcock's post above and you'll get a series of drop down menus. Select: Stereo>AU Instruments>Toontrack>EZ whatever. I suspect that you are overlooking something really elementary about how Logic operates.

It seems that there are more issues at play here than can be easily diagnosed - but maybe these links will help:

how do i make ezdrummer show up in garageband?

As far as getting EZD working in Logic, it sounds like the installation went wrong (which almost certainly also affects GarageBand). Maybe you selected the wrong option in the 'customize' stage of the installation dialogs. Try reinstalling after reading this:

If you're a registered user, Toontrack's tech support is excellent and they'll help you in the forum linked above, as I don't believe that the issues you have are Logic or GarageBand related, but rather an installation problem.

Glad it worked in GB.

Apparently, your browser has images turned off, otherwise you'd see the picture I posted above which shows where you access EZD in Logic. Then

In the I/O section of Logic's channel strip, on an instrument track, click/hold on the top button and from either Stereo or Multi-Channel, select AU Instruments -> Toontrack.

will be more clear.

ezdrummer takes alot of memory yea?

Yes - a standard kit will use about 250MB. So that, plus Logic, plus the OS itself is using more than you have available, so your computer is using swap files which can make the performance slow down significantly. More memory will help, and it's pretty cheap these days.
