Wireless Microsoft 2000 Keyboard ...very frustrating problem... help!!!
Hi everyone I got so excited about having a wireless optical keyboard and mouse for my mac and after downloading the software (6.21 intellipoint and itellitype) the keyboard was actually working beautifully. Both keyboard and mouse are shown in System Preferences.
My problem is when I shut down and start-up again the next day, the mac is not happy. It does none of the usual start up procedures and it goes straight to a blue screen.
On the blue screen the cursor is frozen in the top left hand corner (mouse doesn't work)and there is just 3 little boxes.
A box on the left-hand side with a curved arrow in it, a box on the right with a straight arrow in it and in the middle of the screen is a box that has within it an image of the start up drive with the X (Sys. ten) indicated and what I've named that drive printed underneath.
Only way for me to get out of this is to plug my old mac keyboard back in and then re-start. Everything is back to normal.
Can anyone help with this or should I just forget about using a wireless keyboard. My Mac is pre-blue tooth.
Thanks in anticipation.
