Bluetooth iSync with Nokia E50

Hi,

I downloaded the Nokia E50 drivers from this Nokia page, which claims that the plugin will enable iSync to synchronize with the phone via cable and bluetooth.

USB-cable synchronization works fine, but if I enable Bluetooth on my MacBook and on my phone and try to sync, I immediately get the following error:

[Nokia E50] The phone cable is not plugged.
Please plug the phone cable on your computer.
Device "Nokia E50" synchronization failed

Sometimes, the MacBook does search for a Bluetooth-device, but if my phone asks to accept the connection and I click "yes", I get the same iSync-error.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

You can only sync via Bluetooth OR USB, not both at the same time.

To switch from Cable to Bluetooth syncing, you have to completely remove your device from iSync, and then re-add it via the Bluetooth Setup Assistant.

If switching from BT to USB syncing, you have to completely remove your phone from iSync and the Bluetooth system preferences pane, and then add your phone in iSync.
