Airport Express won't make dhcp connection
Exasperation reigns supreme.
I gifted a Macbook and an Airport Express to a good freind of mine. We tested it at my house and it all worked fine. It's now up in Michigan and the Macbook runs fine with an ethernet connection to a Zhone 6211-I3-200 ADSL2+ router. DCHP, everything works fine.
I try to get the airport working and it won't make a dhcp connection. The light keeps flashing amber. Done various restarts, power offs, etc. on odem and AE, to no avail. Can reconnect to the Macbook and it works fine. Can even take the numbers returned by DHCP on the Macbook and enter them into the airport and get the airport to go green but still no internet traffic.
I'm thinking the Zhone is remembering a MAC address, but I have no idea how to reset it. The IP, UP.NET is absolutely worthless, "We don't support Macs."
Any help out there? I sent a request to zhone, but mum's the word.
