Lexmark X73 Acts Weird

Hi There,
I'm trying to print using the above-mentioned Lexmark printer. I've gone to the Lexmark site and downloaded their driver for OS X 10.4.x. I can get the printer to do an alignment page, but I can't seem to get it to print a page of my choosing.

In Printer Setup Utility, the job looks like it's going to be printed, then it suddenly quits, and get listed as a job that has stopped.

I have deleted and re-added the printer, logged out and back in, repaired permissions, but these actions don't have the effect of getting the sucker to work.

Any ideas?
