Adobe Photoshop Album

Got my ATV the other day and at the time I wasn't using any 3rd party software to manage photos (I am using XP Pro). When I went to Sync the ATV, I was able to select the file folders (within the My Pictures folder) that I wanted to sync.

Today I installed Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 and spent hours creating collections to manage my photos. However, when I load up iTunes and go to the Photo tab in the Apple TV options it won't let me select Photoshop Album from the "Sync Photos From" dropdown list. I tried removing all of the photos from ATV by unchecking the Sync Photos From checkbox entirely and still my only options are "My Pictures" and "Choose Folder". Also tried closing down both iTunes and Photoshop Album to see if they would recognize one another. Even tried rebooting my PC. Still no dice.

Any thoughts on how to get Adobe Photoshop Album as an option in the dropdown list?

Create a folder called, "Adobe Photoshop Album". Then deposit all the photos you want sync'd into the newly created folder. Now, open iTunes (sync source) and open the Apple TV device menu, navigate to the 'Photos" tab, and select 'Folders' and finally your created folder, "Adobe Photoshop Album". Now apply your changes.

😉

AFAIK Apple TV does not directly support the Adope product, Photoshop Album.

I'll get right on that.

In the ATV manual it specifically mentions that it supports Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 and later.

Chas is on a mac, macs don't do photoshop with tv, but a PC should.

I note you have "starter edition", is it possible this means it is not a full version. Perhaps tv requires a full version.

But I am pleasantly surprised to learn that Apple TV does support the Adobe product in Windows. I stand corrected.

Winston is right, my primary platform is Windows. So, although I do run a bunch of XP and Vista machines, I don't do day-to-day stuff on them.

Good point. Was wondering if the "Starter Edition" made a difference. However on Adobe's site, it doesn't look there is any other version of Photoshop Album, just Photoshop Elements and of course, Photoshop.

Oh well. Do you think a reinstall of iTunes would have any impact?

HAve exactly the same problem - only it appeared after upgrading itunes and Photoshop Album to the latest revisions. Note that it all worked very well until the upgrade of Itunes to 7.2 and Photoshop Album Starter edition to version 3.2. This is really annoying! - anyone for a good proposal?

My problem was solved by uninstalling Photoshop 3.2 and reinstall version 3.0.
