Quicken font changes for viewing

I'm a recently converted PC user trying to adapt to mac. I have used Quicken for 10 yrs on PC with great satisfaction.

On my new little 13" mac laptop screen, the standard font I view in Quicken shows up at about 8pt - pretty tiny and difficult to view easily. I'd really like to work in a larger font view. The program does not respond to the apple key with the + for enlarging, nor does selecting Quicken's 'zoom' feature, which only enlarges the window area and keeps the font the same.

Intuit says it's Apple's settings, and Apple has been unsuccessful in helping figure out how to enlarge the font I view on my screen while working in Quicken. If anyone has found a way to do this, I sure could use a suggestion instead of increasing my squint.

Thanks to any suggestions you can provide.
