flashing amber on airport express

I have an airport express base station that used to work fine. I recently moved and tried to set it up but it keeps flashing amber. I did the factory reset and airport assistant setup but nothing. My computer finds the base station but the airport can't/won't find the internet connection. I have DSL. Called the internet company and tried to manually enter the IP address/subnet/router/dns but nothing. This is very frustrating, before it just started right up. Maybe I am missing something??
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried a complete power recycle of your network components in order for your DSL modem to "recognize" the AirPort Express Base Station (AX)?

Modem/Router Power ReCycling
- Power-off the DSL/Cable modem, Internet Router, & computer(s). (Wait at least 30 minutes. If possible, leave the modem off overnight.)
- Power-on the DSL/Cable modem; Wait at least 30 minutes.
- Power-on the Internet Router; Wait at least 5 minutes.
- Power-on the computer(s)

i was having this same problem for a few days after disconnecting my airport express. initially, neither the airport setup assistant nor the airport admin utility was of any help. i reset my other base station. i have the airport express extending the range of my current network w/ an airport extreme. only after i reset both stations was the airport express able to talk to the other base station and connect to the internet and get the latest firmware (which i'm guessing was part of the problem). then i went back to setup assistant and reset everything. now it's up and running fine. both stations are talking to each other... green light. i am using a linksys cable modem, btw.

I'm having the same issue after I moved to a new house. Same computer, same cable modem, same everything. If I plug the ethernet straight into my laptop, I get connected, and the wireless network shows up connected, but the AEX just flashes amber and isn't actually generating a signal. I've tried the "full" power-down cycle and that didn't change anything. Help!

I have two Expresses. One is very solid. The other seems to get confused when moved around. Hard for it to return to the network after a power cycle. Lots of trouble and pretty much that way since I purchased it. I have one from the US and one from the UK and I do not remember where the problem device was purchased. I tend to leave it alone once I get it sorted. That happens by repeated power cycles until all is green.

For some family reasons I needed to take the troubled device on the road. In two locations it comes up and there is slowly flashing yellow light yet the network appears fine when I use my PB. In both locations the device is plugged into a wire downstream from a router (1 is a generic device and one is a current Airport Extreme). So, I think of a slowly flashing light as the Express did not pick up an address or something yet I can use the network just fine.

It bugs me that I can not consistently get the device to behave while the other devices are all fine (even in the same location, etc).
