Quicktime Files is choking my system

P4 3.6Ghz
2G DDR2 Memory
Intel Chipset
Nvidia Quadro 256mb (Dual View)
QT Version: QT 7 PRO WIN

Everytime i try to fire up a quicktime file, it chokes my computer for about 4 seconds before it fires up, sometimes, it changes the color temp of my monitor.

This never happened before, and im not sure if there was an update that i wasn't aware of that is causing this problem.

Please, if you have any idea please send it my way.
