I can't add songs on 7.2.0.34

using new version of itunes for windows, i was playing song 1 of a 3 song album no problem. itunes then skips the next 2 songs and goes on to play next album. odd i thought. The files are in correct location and there is no ! when i click get info. I deleted the 3 songs from library and re-added but only #1 shows up! 2 and 3 will not add however i try. Tags seem all fine (although there are some strange characters but they are same in all songs)...
Please help!
