Why is Grab Utility taking blank pictures?

Whether I choose a 'selection', a 'window' or a 'screen', all captures are completely blank and white with nothing in the window, just the top bar with the working buttons on the top left appear, but no content in the center of the picture. Can anyone help me?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.9)

Hi Budgie1,

Sounds like a corrupted preference file. Try this... Locate this file:
com.apple.grab.plist
It's here: MacintoshHD/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences.
Open the Preferences folder. Locate that file and drag it to the Desktop.
Now, launch Grab and see if you can "capture" a selection or window. If you can, then that .plist file is corrupt. Drag it to the Trash, empty the Trash.
It's ok to trash that file, your Mac will create a new one for you.

Carolyn 🙂
