Bit Rate not supported by this iPod

I hope someone can help me. I am frustrated because I am not knowledgeable about bit-rates other than I know a higher number means better audio resolution. Other than that I know nothing.

I am running Windows XP Pro on a Dell E1505-(Intel Duocore) and am running iTunes 7.2--recently upgraded. I downloaded a video from iTunes. The video is "Stars" by Switchfoot. When I sync'd my 30G iPod (5th Gen), I received an iTunes error message that states that some items could not be copied onto the iPod. There are only two--a song that is WMA format, and the video from iTunes. When I clicked the ("+") icon to view details, I read this (verbatim): "Stars (Music Video) was not copied because the bit rate is not supported by the ipod "Joe Brock's ipod'."

Again, all I did was purchase the video and downloaded it, then attempted to sync it.

It is in the proper location in my iTunes folder, under "Switchfoot" with a subfolder "Unknown Album". I wrote to Apple about this, and they were essentially no help at all (that is frustrating that they don't even support their own products--they expect you to use a forum such as this).

Can anyone tell me how I can fix this problem? I don't even have the option to request a refund from Apple that I can see, but I really would prefer being able to play the video instead of getting a refund anyway.
Thanks for taking time to help.

MPEG-4 video:

up to 2.5 mbps, 480 x 480, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats

It did, and your iTunes is telling you that your 5G Video iPod doesn't support the bitrate specified.
