Unable to download QT Player 7.1.6

Hello everyone. I am unable to download Quicktime Player 7.1.6. I used to have QT Player 6.5, uninstalled it during the trial and error to install 7.1, and now I am left without QT at all. The first time I downloaded it, the iTunes.exe file wouldn't open, a message said it was due to VBScript enabling/installing.

Anyone with similar problem? Tried to get QT Player from other sites, but they all want to charged for a free application. No game.

Thank you very much, but no cigar. I had tried that link before, with same result. After I posted my SOS, I was able to trick Apple's downloader, which was taking me from the QT download link to "the download will start automatically", overriding my Pop-up blocker. I quickly clicked on my Pop-up blocker, allowed for Temp pop-ups, and got to download the installer. Everything went fine until I tried to install it, and it gave me the same message I got when trying to install iTunes (which I don't need, anyway), something about my system needing/lacking something to complete the installation.

Thanks again for your help, but here I am, still without QT player.

Anyone else has faced the same problem?

Any ideas?

Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

although the following document refers to XP rather than Vista, it's still worth a crack on a Vista box:

iTunes and QuickTime for Windows cannot be installed without Visual Basic Script (VBScript)
