Mac OS X Standard sounds stop working

Mac OS X Standard sounds stop working

Hi guys,

Just all of the sudden the typical standard sounds like empty the trash can does not execute anymore. I don´t see why and how can I solve this issue. I tried the Sound into Preference, but dunno what to change.

Hi

Have you tried opening, then quitting, GarageBand? That, sometimes, restores the sound.

Thanks for the info but i did open the Garage band and then quite it but it did not work. Is somehow weird how the Volume Up or Down still have sound but no other option (as throwing a file to the basket) has it...
