iTunes store error 8008???

I ordered a Season Pass for Grey's Anatomy Season 2, and delayed downloading several episodes. I worked my way through the list slowly, and downloaded all except three earlier today. There are now three left in the "Downloads" queue, and I can't get them to work.

It says that the files are corrupted, and then gives me iTunes err = 8008. I searched, but couldn't find anything.

Please tell me someone has come across this before!

Thanks so much,
Evangeline

Ok, this is how I fixed it. No one at apple told me to do this but it worked.

First I found my Itunes folder on my computer. Within your itunes folder there is a folder named DOWNLOADS. In this folder Itunes stores temporary files of your downloads in progress. Double click on this folder and you should see the names of the files/programs that keep coming up error -8008. They will be folders with a .tmp extension.

Just delete them!!! I know this is scary but it works. Once you delete them go back to your itunes click on store and check for purchases and the downloads will resume.

dvdman, Thanks for the info on correcting the error 8008 problem. Worked for me. Seems like Mr. Jobs likes to sell the product, make the money, but not deal with support. I guess that costs too much money... Good thing the forums have sharp people providing advice.

thank you so much. the tech support for itunes stink. Personal responses ???. I got the same response 4x in a row. Too bad they don't even know what they're doing. I'm not messing with them anymore. I'll just come here. Thanks for figuring this out.

Wait.. Where EXACTLY is the iTunes folder you mean? I searched for Downloas and iTunes, but none of what I find seem to hold a folder or file for what I'm trying to download (The Usual Suspects). I HAVE found a download folder containing some of my music files that won't download (error 100008), but those arent helpful to me...

Continued above post: I have just checked some other forums about the same problem, and have found the folder, but like I said before, it only has the files for the music, no The Usual Suspects.... Wait a second, i just looked in the folder while it was downloading, and there it was... Paused download and deleted it, but it still gives me the same error at 10.0mb downloaded....

I tried using the solutions described in the posts, but to no avail. The file continues to get to the point that was previous able to have been downloaded and then stops, each time returning with error message 8008. Any further solutions before I have to attempt to contact Apple customer service would be much appreciated
