isync will not open and displays error message 'switch on in isync preferences'. However I cannot find isync preferences either within the isync drop down menu or by conducting a find.

Do I need to re-install system software?

Thanks to anyone willing to help.

    Hi

I suggest you download iSync again from Apple, and try to reinstal this version.

I'm no gurru so I hope this helped

The latest version of iSync cannot be downloaded from Apple.

You have to extract and install v2.0 from your Mac OS X Install DVD and then update to v2.4 using the Mac OS X 10.4.9 Combo Updater from Apple.

I tried to install OSX again but it seriouslly crashed the mac. Took a number of support agencies to work out how to fix it with the disc stuck in (power button and 'mouse' click did not work). In the end depressing apple alt p and r whilst pressing power button and waiting for 3 tones did the trick. I don't really want to go through that again.

Can I custom install just the 1sync application.

    Regards
