IPOD as Removable Disk- Reformat message

I have a 30gb video ipod that is formatted for a mac. I have the enable disc feature turned on, but when I try to use it as a removable disk on a windows computer, I get this message: "The disk in Drive E is not formatted, would you like to format it now?"
I'm assuming I press no since I don't want to wipe out my information, but why is it asking me this? Do I press yes so I can access it? I can't acces it otherwise, is there something wrong with my ipod?

It's asking that because you can't use it as data device with Windows unless it's in a format that Windows can deal with.

Do I press yes so I can access it?

NO, not unless you want to lose what's currently on it.

I can't acces it
otherwise, is there something wrong with my ipod?

?? There's nothing wrong with your iPod IF you use it with a Mac.
