HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-One problems

I have an Ibook G3 with 10.3.9. I just bought an HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-One printer and tried to install the driver. Once installed, the driver still doesn't show up. I called Apple and HP, which told me to buy another software driver for the printer. Did that, tried to install it, and still, nothing. Hp told me to get another printer.

Has any other person had some issues such as mine? Is there anything I can do?
