Macbook Won't Charge. Green or Orange Light Not Lighting Up

It could be that your MagSafe power adapter is going/has gone bad. The wiring on the inside is extremely fragile and tends to break apart very easily. I had a similar problem and called Apple Care about it. They sent me a replacement cord at no cost and I sent the damaged one back. Everything has worked great since then. I am just a little more careful about taking care of the cord.

There are just 2 possible explanations for your problem:

1) your power adapter has gone the way of the Dodo.
2) the pin on the adapter are stuck in or the connectors on the Mac book are dirty.

Unstuck the pins with a non conductive pin, and clean the connector with a small ear swab, reattach and check.

Your battery doesn't charge - but does the computer recognise the charger? i.e does the icon in the menubar change, and power get to the computer (just not the battery)?
