CGFontKey.c:227: failed assertion `id[k].qx <= kCGFontSharedCacheKeyMaxQ'

I am getting this error (logged in the console) when an Application dies. The application that dies most is Final Cut 5.1.4

I can find VERY little information about this error but I have:
- Deleted all added fonts
- Reloaded my system fonts off the Tiger install DVD via Pacifist
- Used Onyx to delete font caches
- Ran Font Doctor against the system. It could find no issues.

Anyone have an idea before I reload?

O.K. NOW WHAT?

I reinstalled off the original restore disks. It would not let me install Final Cut till I updated my software.

The only thing I copied off the old drive was my file vault (holds all my passwords) and my FireFox user prefs (it has all my passwords for sites). The only thing I installed (besides the restore disks) was Firefox.

DURING THE FINAL CUT STUDIO INSTALL FIREFOX CRASHED SAME ERROR!!!!

Tech Tools says nothing is wrong with my hardware. So I am open to suggestions.

Restore from your bootable backup. Don't have one? Then, you'll have to repeat the process. Three things you did that might be causing the problem: installed FCP, installed FireFox, or copied corrupted stuff from your FileVault image. I suggest, restoring the software, if no backup, running it for awhile to ensure there aren't any problems. Make a bootable backup of it. Don't invoke FileVault, update to the latest, either via Software Update (slowest path) or download and manually install the 10.4.10 COMBO update. Run it awhile to ensure stability, erase the previously made clone, and reclone this version. Now, try installing FCP. If the error returns, then FCP's the culprit. If not, erase the previous clone, and clone this new version. Install Firefox and see if it breaks things. Continue until you identify the problem or solve it.

Try these before bopping over to the repair shop. Remove and reseat the RAM, zap the PRAM (restart holding down the CMD OPT+PR keys until you get three bongs, then release), boot into Open Firmware (restart holding down the CMD OPT+OF keys until you get a black screen with text) and after the text stops, enter these commands, followed by the return key (the last one restarts the machine):

eset-nvram
set-defaults
reset-all

If you're still having the problem, boot with the Apple Hardware Test disk and run the extended tests.

Well the Apple Store had it a week and could not figure it out either. They said if it was under Apple care then they could order parts to test with but they did not have any G5 PPC hardware laying around for testing and I am not on Apple care. They figured it was one of (3) things. The old Apple 22" Cinema display, the ADC to DVI adapter, or the video card.

I bought a new 23" display taking the first 2 potential problems out of the loop. Nope. I also removed the Apple memory and just used the Crucial Memory. Nope.

New ATI RADEON X1900 G5 Mac Edition - 256MB PCI Express Graphics Card. Dual DVI is on the way now.

If the video card fails.... I have no idea what I am gonna do!!!
