Hello. I must admit I feel like the biggest idiot for having done this...but here goes. This summer I've been tree planting, and so I've been listening to music. I had a nice protective case for my ipod, and on the way out I grabbed a pair of crappy old headphones my dad used to use and listened to my ipod all day, left ear-bud in...then when I got back into my car and tried to play my ipod I found that only music came out of the left speaker. It was at this point I looked at the headphones jack to realize that it was bent at the bottom ever so slightly...just enough to bend one of the contact points....sigh. I really don't want to send my ipod into tech just for this...does anyone have any idea's on what to do?

bumpety bump bump.
If you so desire you can open up your iPod and straighten the jack (this will void your warranty if it is still valid) or you can send it off for service.
Hey. Well I did try that originally, but there appeared to be a tiny metal closure which covered the pins..and I'm not sure how to go about taking it off without busting something 😟
