I am trying to create another apple ID for my wife's iPhone so it will be different to mine. In following the instructions, I went to the app store and clicked on the sign in button and signed out of Icloud. However I don't se the create a new apple id. My wife's iphone is a mini 12.
Can anyone help me?

Use a web browser and go to https://appleid.apple.com/. Click on âcreate your AppleIDâ and make the AppleID. Then on the iPhone sign into iCloud with that new AppleID. You will then be prompted to make an iCloud account for that new AppleID.

When changing to the new ID, there may be some data loss, but you can minimize it. If syncing photos with iCloud, ensure Optimization is turned off in Settings/Your Name/iCloud/Photos and/or in Photos/Preferences/iCloud. Then make sure full resolution photos are on the device/computer. When signing out of iCloud, if asked whether you want to retain data, choose yes. Messages conversations will be lost if they are addressed to the ID. See the article below for other places that the old ID should be removed. See Winston Churchill's response in the below discussion. If possible, also set up Family Sharing between the IDs to keep access to your apps/purchases.Â

Thak you for your prompt response but I followed the instructions. First, let me clarify that my wife's iphone has been activated so I could not use instruction #1. I had to go to instruction #2 going to the App store, clicking the sign in button and signing out of icloud. It says that there should an option saying, "Create a new Apple ID". I don't see that option.
