iphone 4 Mail messages (no sender) no subject

My inbox has four mysterious messages that I can't delete. They all say

(No Sender)
(No Subject)
This message has no content

Date: 12-31-69

can't open or delete any of them. These messages are not on my mobileme cloud.

Thanks for the help. Chad

I just ran across a coincidence that may shed some light on this problem. I've been having the iCloud rejected password problem for a few days (switched from MobileMe, now iCloud mail servers randomly reject my password in Apple Mail and iOS), and at the same time, I've had these blank emails appear in my inbox. I reset the password for my Apple ID, restarted mail on my iPhone, and the blank emails were replaced with emails to my mac.com address (same order in the combined inbox amongst mail from my other accounts). This does not give me a feeling of warmth and security.

And I did indeed try the one re settings>quit account> etc., etc., and it did work. I just feel that if it is a bug that with their large stores of expertise they should have been able to correct it without having to go through the ritual. As it is I have a huge problem with my MacMail and which I have posted on several times but cannot find a solution to and so I live with. Problem being that I have to quit and reopen Mail several times a day in order to be certain that all of my mail is showing. Not "get mail" that does not do the trick, but actually quit. When I reopen, as many as ten or more emails pop up sometimes from as far back as two days. It is not AOL or GMail or Yahoo all of whom I have accounts with, as it happens with all of them. I work from home a lot and before realising what was going on I missed many an important and time sensitive email that I needed to address. I have tried all the fixes suggested and nothing has worked, so I just gave up and quit>reopen at least three times a day. Sigh...

Saddest part is that I am still a die hard Mac user and won't ever be going back to Windows in spite of all the issues I have.

Cheers

I have started receiving these messages as well over the last few days. When those messages are in my inbox, my phone seems to act strange i.e. read messages remain marked as unread, message counter doesn't change, to name a couple. Yes, powering off removes the messages but it doesnt fix the problem as the messages keep coming. after a quick scan of this thread, am i correct to assume that there is no fix for this?
