Apple Watch - track kids location

Can I track my kids location from my iPhone/iPad if they wear an Apple Watch? If so, what is the cheapest version of the Apple Watch to allow this functionality?

You will have to get a GPS+Cellular version and use the Family setup (on you iPhone only). See the 'What you need' section in:

Set up an Apple Watch for a family member - Apple Support

and there will be a monthly charge from your network carrier in addition to the cost of the watch.
