The unlock of Mac with Apple Watch does not work after update the Mac OS to version 12.3. I set the unlock option in system preferences and it works, however my Mac never unlock by Apple Watch. Before Mac OS update it used to work well. What is the problem?

I just unselected the option "Use Apple Watch to unlock apps and your Mac" in settings, opened the padlock, selected again the option "Use Apple Watch to unlock apps and your Mac". Then I put my Mac to sleep. When awaked the Mac it was unlocked by Apple Watch. But when I did it again the unlock with Apple Watch does not work anymore.
I contacted Apple Technical Support. We tried several launch options. Eventually, the problem was resolved by unpairing and erasing the Apple Watch. After restarting the watch, the function works fine.
I'm also experiencing this on my macbook pro and on my iphone 12. I have the same latest versions as of march 2022.

I did it like you described. The unlock does not work. Sometimes when I unselect this option and select it again the Mac unlock with Apple Watch afterwards but only once. Later it does not work.
Do you have the latest version on both?
Yes. MacOS 12.3 (21E230) and watchOS 8.5

Alongside I tested it since you asked and my Mac unlocks every time using my Watch.

Thanks morinUSA. The problem is that everything was working fine before updating macOS to the lates version 12.3.
The new update of macos, watch os and ios also fixed the issue now [March 31, 2022update]
I have the same issue, the options "Use Apple Watch to unlock apps and your Mac" was missing from security.
