iPhone 4 Black Screen will not reboot

I picked up my 32gig last Friday and already the screen is going black during use and won't reboot / restore anything. After about 30 minutes the screen comes back, then goes again after about 10 minutes of use. Could this be an overheating issue? I need help on this one.

[Will loose any data/information on iPhone during this process]

"Make sure Computer and iTunes is up to date"

Open iTunes on the computer>Sign in if needed>Plug in the USB cord to the computer "Without the iPhone">Hold down the Home button and then plug iPhone into the computer>Continue to hold the home button until iTunes prompts restore device.

This is going to restore your device back to the original factory settings.

Setup iPhone as New:

[Try device for a few days - if all well - "got a backup - restore from back up - no back up sorry will have to continue to use as is"]

If you are still unable to get the device to work properly contact Apple Support or make your own Apple Retail appointment online to see what an Apple Retail Store near you can do.

Thanks it really worked, tried all the reboot 10sec, 2 min, 5 min, plug unplug but oncve is on black screen then there is no way that the pc recognizes the iphone.

Had the tools from previous battery change, so when i read it gave me confidence not to damage the phone while disconnecting suddenly the battery flex.

In the end it was the only thing that work, and no damage to the phone. (reboot from holding and home button did not do anything to my phone)

Is the first time the phone crashes like that, previous times, had manage to do the reboot normally without unplugging the battery.

hope it helps for you guys.

Warning: try this as your last option (only if normal reboot does not work)🙂

My phone is buzzing but has black screen and i have tried everything to re-boot - so I have no choice but to go back factory settings from my PC- Apple ID is good but Itunes has message that says it is not connected with that account?? Can I do factory setting any other way. I don't care if I get info that was on phone. I am so frustrated now, I just want it to ring and be able to take calls
