My watch went crazy today, flicking between different screens, typing its own texts, I couldn’t stop it or turn it off, had to just wait for battery to go flat to stop.

I have the same issue! The watch went crazy, hopping from app to app. I took it off from my wrist and it looks like some one is trying to guess the password - trying different number combinations.
I’m not able to restart it. It looks like I have to wait until it runs out of battery.
Had you updated to 10.4 in a timely manner when it came out then it would not have happened today would it?

Same thing happened to my ultra 2 today.
Press the round button to reboot then upgrade iPhone and watch to latest OS.

Yes it is software. Yes OS10.4 fixed it
It won't allow me to until I input the password. It's blocking me from trying while it searches for the password.
It's literally searching for the password. This is making me very uncomfortable.
My apple ultra watch is not working right I can hear the message and music and phone calls but I can not see the text or calls because the screen is black. I turn it off and the still is it black.
It sounds like the Watch is busted.
I have the same issue and I am having to reset and resync. This is happening often!

OS 10.3 had a bug. By not updating you have perpetuated the problem for too long.
Update your phone to iOS17.5 then your watch to OS10.5
