Target disk won't mount on iMac
Attempting to erase disk on imac it is in target disk mode connected to another imac via ethernet and target disk wont mount

Please provide details about the exact iMac models/years as well as the exact Mac operating system versions.

This is the iMac (PPC) forum. Normally, for PowerPC models, one would use a FireWire connection.
Later models with other processors could use USB, USB-C or Thunderbolt.

I don't remember Target Disk Mode ever supporting Ethernet or Wi-Fi connections.
FYI: PPC or PowerPC are older than 2006. Are these that old?
