Something loose in new iPhone 5

I received my iPhone 5 today and noticed that something is rattling inside when I shake the phone. Sounds like the battery.

Anyone else having that problem?

Noise Problem cured !!!

My iPhone 5 made a rattling noise when shaken after it had "a few falls"

I read in one of the forums that it was the battery coming away from the adhesive.

I checked iFixit teardown of the iPhone 5 and noted the very large battery which occupies two thirds of the screen space from left to right (starting from above the headphone jack side).

I'm not surprised that if it comes loose that it is the cause of the clunking rattle.

One of the forums contributors suggested gradually pressing all the area of the phone on the outside that overlies the battery inside pressing hard between front and back over all of the screen area from left to right that fronts the battery inside. In this way one pushes the battery back on to the adhesive !!

I went to the Apple store today because of several issues I had with me iphone. They gave me a brand new iPhone 5 and... I have another problem! There's something that rattles inside my iPhone. I really don't know what to do. They've already changed my iphone once.. I don't think they'll do it twice. Also, the closest Apple store is at an hour from my house. What could I do ? Are they able to fix the problem ?

When you hold the iPhone 5 whilst covering the sleep button and the volume buttons including the mute switch, the rattling ceases for me. Thus indicating that it's not the battery at fault, but the poor build quality for the buttons the iPhone 5 contains. I've seen multiple people posting that it's happened on all of the iPhones since the iPhone 2G, the very first iPhone released in 2007. But I can assure you from my past ownership of these devices that I have never encountered this before, I've owned all the iPhone models, the 2G, 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S and the 5. None of which have 'rattled' except for the iPhone 5.

My father's friend had the same problem with his iphone. He got an appointement and they changed his iphone. As for me, my first iphone 5 used to make a little bit of noise when I shoke it. When the apple genius changed my iphone for a new one, they sound was even more powerful. However, I am not going to change it again because I might get an iPhone which has more problems. The loosened piece is the only problem I have with my current iPhone and it does seem like a huge problem to me.
