How the **** I get Google Maps back in OS 6

I find it useful when people point out where workarounds fall short. It saves me time and money from downloading apps that ultimatley don't fix the problem.

I want street view back! I hope it will be fixed! I almost want to go buy a new 4- that doesn't have the update. not happy at all! not to mention- I typed in a gas station like I used to and I would be taken to the closest one. now it's a page of pins - not including the one a few blocks away.

HuskieN, Do you know of any sites that work in Canada. I tried a few of these sites but they are not available in Canada or at the Canadian iTunes App store.

google maps is gone.

google is not creating an app for ios6/itunes

you have options-

1. get used to getting ilost with apple maps

2. use google maps via browser

3. downgrade to ios 5 (google it)

4. or go get the android jellybean 4.1 galaxy S III (which is reportedly way better than iphone 4/5)

It works but doesn't offer the option of adding it to the home page per the article that HuskieN points to. It also doesn't seem to show the traffic which is the feature that I was most interested in. I used to use this every morning to determine which route to take to work to avoid the congestion.

I dont understand how this thread is still running, there have been plenty of solutions to this problem and I am sure there are plenty more.

The Maps app is a definate downgrade in IOS6 and many features have been lost. I am sure that with a bit of diligent searching everyone could find the perfect solution. It would be more helpful if people posted solutions instead of problems as I and many others have done.

Anyway, I have stopped following this thread because I now have a better solution to the original app and all the whining is getting tedious .

Apple maps is worse than eating **** in a bun. Bring back google maps! Or I'm selling up and getting off this apple train wreck.

Google would be stupid to make a map app for iOS.

I haven't had a chance to use apple maps yet, but what I miss are the terrain maps that were available on googles maps. I use them quite a bit. That and street view. Unfortunately the mobile version doesn't allow street view nor, pin placement.

Amen!! For those of us with gypsy souls what now? Even the walking directions failed me yesterday in San Fran. Sent me four miles in the wrong direction. Went and looked at the galaxy & droid incredible today. Galaxy is great but so big. I'm torn. Why, Apple? Why???? :(

Tell everyone not to upgrade until they put you tube and google maps back. They are better off to cut a deal with google than to spend a fortune trying to imitate the key feature of gmaps -- street view

I found google maps very useful and am disapointed with itunes maps.

If it aint broke dont fix it !!!!
