The remote app can't connect to my iTunes library. Help?

I have virgin Internet in my house and I use the netgear wireless superhub. Connected to this hub are any wireless devices eg. Ipad iPhone and I wired connection to a netgear switch. All pc's and consoles are then wired to the switch. Would this be the reason why the remote won't work and is there a work around?

Please feel free to ask if you need more info.

This worked for me, from another user:

I have an Airport Extreme with two networks: A closed home network, and a guest network for guests with guest network priviledges. For whatever reason, my iOS devices will sometimes switch to the guest network, which does not allow for Remote use. I'll troubleshoot the heck out of not being able to see my iTunes library until I eventually stumble onto the fact that I am on the wrong network. Make sure you check that your wireless connection is on the network associated with the iTunes/Home Sharing setup as a part of your troubleshooting.

My solution might help you...

Connect your iPad to your computer with your cable. Open itune, when you see your iPad in the device list on the left column, open remote on your iPad. Your library will be there. Then you can unplug everything. Since you have connected with your library once (over the cable) it will be remembered in your remote app and you will be able to use it over wifi.

Hope this will help!
