iOS 7 on iPad mini - will it see performance issues?

I have been on the fence for getting a current iPad mini, with the main question of what will iOS 7 do to the performance of this device?

As it has the same specifications of the iPad 2, and close to the underclocked iPhone 4s, it can do what I need it for today. But will the 512mb

ram be a limiting factor when the new iOS is released?

I still have my 1st generation iPad, and I remember the performance impact iOS 5 had when installed, making what once was a fairly speedy iPad to

slow and clunky.
