Ios 6.1.4 battery drain

For the 1st time my 5 can't get thro the day after updating to 6.1.4. Annoying. Fix soon please.

Why, oh why does Apple do this to us? Wow, what a terrible "upgrade". How do roll this back????

Have you tried hard resetting? I was a the point of frustration where I was considering selling my iPhone and buying an Android, then 6.1.4 came out and out of frustration I updated without waiting to see if it was buggy. Download, for a few days no change from 6.1.3, the battery life was still terrible, then I did a few hard resets and bam! it's back to nearly normal now

Been having the same problem, in 1 hour of browsing my battery went down from 100% to 65%! It's frustrating ' not normal. Can't use my phone! Thinking of turning it back to my provider. Crazy we don't get any answers from the Apple team here, everyone has his speculations on how to solve the issue, done all the ideas and still nada! Helppp! Might be able to get a new device from my provider without the Ios 6.1.4... Never had this drainage in any mobile device before. Makes the mobile useless!!!

Try hard resetting. That's usually the first step in troubleshooting. As for the statement about Apple teams, this is a user-to-user technical forum. Simply amongst us users

Thanks, done that like 10 times already with no help. Tried now all battery savings technics, hoping it will solve the situation ;) even though it's a user to user technical forum, I'm just crossing my fingers apple team are readings these too & doing something. Why can't we downgrade to ios 6.1.3? Is it possible if I haven't connected my mobile to my pc since the upgrade?

Battery doesn't work well....This iphone 5 is full of problems...

Having the same problem here, since updating i can literally watch my percentage bar decrease in minutes. Have completley reset my phone but still no luck. Hope an update come's to solve this soon!

Disabled a number of the apps using location services, then rebooted. Seems better. Going back & enabling the location services for the apps one by one to see if any particular one stands out.

Same here. Never had battery issues with the iPhone (knowingly! 🙂) but now iPhone 5, UK, Three network, draining in hours...

Just thought I'd share something. After the update I noticed my battery draiing more, I also noticed that Location Services icon was always on. What I found was that a new feature of Dropbox used the location service, but that it's not required. Hoping that turing it off will reduce my battery drain.

My battery life performance on the iphone 5 64gb verizon has also suffered greatly with update 6.1.4. Is apple incapable of getting all features to work without bugs and still maintain the battery life expectations they tout on the box of their product?
