This was fixed on my phone just by opening and closing the Calendar app.

Hello: Greetings from Venezuela.

I have the same issue like yours. The ringtones, music and app radio (tune in) work perfectly but the rest of the apps don´t) If I connect the earphones and a speaker it sounds excellent.I cleaned the dock area and my device continues the same.

Any idea, please?

thanks.

Actually I should amend my snarky post.

Here were my symptoms (were, as in I think I just fixed it). I have an iPad3

Could not power down... It would just power back on all by itself.

Could not watch videos in any player - they would pause and/or the audio would stop.

Key clicks were intermittent... They would come and go as I typed.

So I did what several people suggested and I got a small brush like the kind you get with a coffee grinder or an electric razor and I cleaned the docking connector with rubbing alcohol. Really clean... Obsessively clean. That was ten minutes ago and it has been perfect ever since. I have not dropped so much as a single key click in this entire message. You tubes and videos are playing completely normally. I powered it off and it stayed off.

Trust me... Just clean the ****** connector. It only took me a few months to give in. Duh!

I also had this problem and it appears to me that some people are having a software issue and some need to simply clean it.

Try this, worked for me!

After hours of Googling the problem I tried cleaning BOTH the headphone jack and dock port with white vinegar and a cotton bud.

With scissors cut both sides of the bud down so they can fit in the parts you need to clean, use one end for the jack and one end for the 30 pin charge bit,

Give them a good thorough clean (you might need to clean a few more time with more buds for it to work), then give the port and jack a blow and should be fixed, if problem persists try blowing the parts really hard again. I am sure that this is the MAIN reason for the sound and has nothing to do with software problems on most cases

This is what I did and was surprised it worked as I was doubtful! 🙂
