I am having the same problem except when that message comes up it cuts the phone on and basically stops the restoring process

I have exact the same problem as you. as I tried to connect my iphone to my mac and tried to response it on my iphone. all it says is "iphone disable connect to itunes", when i slid the phone it only allow to use the emergency call only.

I wanted to know how to fix it. so that i can have access to it.

Question to tour solution. Doesn't that delete everything off of the iPad though? I have stuff on my iPad that I need and I don't want it deleted. And they are through apps
