Full screen caller picture on iOS 7.1?

Looks like this is new desgin. Loks horrible. That big gray incoming call screen is so depressing. And I spent days looking for great photos of my friends and now they are useless. I think that is the most horrible UI change in history. Especially after they were talking on WWDC about full screen photo on incoming call "Your friends never looked more attractive".

Well, I think Johny's Ive friends are not so good looking, that's why he decided to remove such handy feature that allowed only a quick glance to find who is calling.

i aggree with you... I want back my full screen photo on incoming call... please !

Hope, Apple will get back full screen photos in the next update.

The old design was better, now it's much harder to understand who calls you..

I wonder what iOS 7.2 will be like.

I have found that to get a full screen picture when someone calls you, you need to enter that photo into Contacts on the iPhone directly (instead of, for example, syncing it to your iPhone using iTunes on your computer).

If only it was so easy to transfer about 160 photos from PC to iPhone.

Edit: It doesen't work. Just did that. Also took a photo right from contacts app. Nothing.

It helped before upgrading to iOS 7.1 but now small photo is permanent.

That has actually been a new "feature" since before iOS 7.1. I don't even have picture contacts, but I tried it out the other day on iOS 7.0.6., and the small circle was used for FaceTime. The way the software is going, it's going to take some major feedback for Apple to change it back to the full screen ID.

Did Apple offer any rationale for this design change? It is utterly senseless. Yesterday, a fleeting glance told me if a call was from my boss, my wife, and so on. Now I have to pick up the phone and read the screen. What am I supposed to do, use the teenagers' kludge of having separate, cheesy ringtones (that I will have to commit to memory) for each important contact?

Hey I just upgraded to Ios 7.1 and on the first call i received i saw that awfull grey screen....I can't believe Apple made that ....its a magor drawback from Ios 7.0.6. I'm very disapointed with this upgrade....Let's hope they correct their mistake very soon.....

I'm so brave with This update too!!!!! I wanna the fullscreen contact photo again!! I prefered Receive a call with a beautiful photo than a horroble grey screen And small circle!!!! I hope they correct their mistake VERYYYYYY SOOON!!!!!

Dearest Apple I love your designs and so I am going to cut you some slack but please fix. Tnis is how serious it is : I am on iPhone since 3GS. This is the first time ever i am not going to upgrade on the very day the new iOS came out. I am not going to upgarde despite the fact that my iPhone 5S crashes and restarts two times a day without an apparent reason and iOS7.1 apparently fixes that. I am not going to upgrade despite the fact that since 4S I am looking to change the Siri UK English voice to female and now I could. I will eventually have to upgrade when I buy a CarPlay compatible car but you will have fixed it by then and all will be forgotten;)

Ah btw since about Thursday or Friday Siri sends text messages instead of "i am very sorry I cant.." - that was a bug that started with iOS 7 for me - thank you very much!

So I not the only one getting this problem. Since the departure of Jobs, people at apple has completely lost track.

they add something, the remove something, they do kinda copy paste job from other Mobile OS.
