Tried that, it works on folders i make myself but not with the one that somehow the mac has made, it says 'The IMAP command DELETE failed with server error: DELETE failed - mailbox is reserved - "Sent" so can't delete, think i'll contact apple
What you can do Clover2306 Is select the icloud in box then. Do to the menu and select mailbox and rebuild that might sort out the problem.
Ok, spoke to apple support.
Servers have hardware issues since yesterday, they're trying to resolve it.
Mail on mac/iphone is affected, only way to deal with icloud emails is by logging on to icloud.com.
The server problem is pretty much resolved for me now, so I assume Apple is making progress on the repair. I imagine service is being restored incrementally. Pam
Yes, of course, you could log in to your iCloud account online and send something and send mail that way. Pam
Thanks - not sure what happened but seems to be working.
Apple had a huge SMTP outgoing server problem that effected people in many countries, US, Canada, England, etc. I think it started Thursday evening. Pam
