Find My Mac deactivated after resetting NVRAM
Hi all,
Just found that Find My Mac is deactivated (checking System Preferences > iCloud > Find My Mac) after resetting NVRAM (by pressing cmd+opt+P+R at boot.)
Anyone can check if this really the case?
I figured this is likely the result of Apple saving Find My Mac token in NVRAM, and resetting NVRAM clears that. However this looks preposterous to me that a supposed security feature can be defeated so easily. 😕
If there is anyone from Apple looking at this, please improve the design to make Find My Mac more effective in detering Mac theft.
Thanks
Ivan.
