iPhone 7 Plus Screen Unresponsive

My iPhone 7 Plus screen has gone unresponsive. This started last night and continued briefly before fully functioning again until about an hour ago (9 hours later). Now the screen will not respond at all - i can't even enter my passcode to get into my phone. I've tried a hard reset a couple times to no avail. I don't have cloud storage set up and desperately want to salvage my photos before attempting any sort of factory reset.

Anyone know what my options are at this point?

Those did not work. Resseting the phone doesnt fix the issue.

This is apparently an inherent problem with the hardware of the phone.

The only option that Apple support left me was to update to iOS 11. I am sorry, I have had a few iPhone 7 Plusses over the past year, with various hardware issues, and this one takes the cake.

I know this was awhile back but this just happend to me and I called about it on my husbands phone. I saw there were many people responding "me too" I wanted to share my experience. I couldn't even turn off my phone. She said we would have to force it into shut down. Which is super easy, just hold the power button and the volume down button. If this doesn't work, I'd recommend calling in. This was just my experience and what they told me.

Well I know what will happen if you take the phone in. He/she will run some tests, make a couple of calls with your phone and then tell you, "I can't find a problem so I can't help you." There were direct supervisor notations in my account notes to give me a new phone when I arrived. I was told that I would not have to go through any testing in store. That is when all the lying and blaming started. Totally unprofessional. Total waste and disregard of my time. So you ask me now what was the outcome? I had to basically contact the CEO of tmobile to get them to make an exception and give me a different phone. So as you can guess, I'm using a Note 8 currently. Excellent phone btw....superior! In every way especially picture taking. But that didn't surprise me because my note 4 that I had previous to the 7 plus took slightly better pictures. And that did surprise me.

So much for trying an iphone....bleh

Hello,

Is your phone fully charged? Just checking 🙂

Hard reset: sleep/wake button simultaneously while pressing volume-down. Just checking 🙂 Is the fingerprint reader working?

If it comes back, do an immediate backup to iCloud or iTunes etc (or both).

Otherwise, you'll have to make a Genius Bar appointment or contact your other reseller.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
