2011 Macbook Pro 13.3" Battery Life

I recently bought a Macbook Pro 13.3" to replace my other Macbook Pro 13.3 (2010). I notice that the battery life of the new unit is way below my expectation and way below the older version was providing.

i would to know that is it a hardware issue or and software issue.

the 2011 model that i got can last only about less than 2 hours.. while the 2010 model that i used to have can last up to 4 to 6 hours.

and basically i am running the same apps no additional.

Hi All,

I am having the same problem. I bought my MacBook Pro 4 months ago and noticed recently that the battery drains too quickly. What's confounding is that I have been to the Apple Genius Support and had the battery changed but I still get the same result - quickly draining battery. I have charged the new one for 12hours but I am still seeing the battery drain away with speed.

Does anybody know how/what I can do to fix it or should I just demand a replacement outright?

I had to fork out more than £1400 to get my first Mac and I don't want to see that as mistake!

Thanks
