Mac Computer running very SLOW

Mac is running very slow. Takes over 30+ minutes to turn on and for user to login. Then an additional 15+ for desktop to load for user to do anything. Apps are extremely slow when trying to open. Ex. Excel, Word, Mail, Calendar, etc. Tabs on google chrome also take forever to load. Space is not an issue. I have over 900gb Free of 1TB.

I ran EtreCheck and was wondering if someone can please expand on the results and help find potential solutions to speed up the computer. Attached below.

Please and Thank you.

You will need to use the uninstaller to remove Norton (Symantec) files as well as any cleaner apps, then rerun the EtreCheck report to verify all files have been removed and so see if your drive performance has been improved. Your read/write speeds are dismal and the obvious problem with your slow performance.

Uninstall Symantec/Norton Apps, you can reinstall later if you just really must.

But first see if the drive is failing, You can use Drive DX to possibly get a better view of Drive health…

Delete this file &Safe Boot restart...

/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.installer.cleanupinstaller.plist

Perform a Safe Boot on restarting.

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes or more.

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

As you've already been recommended you should uninstall all Norton/Symantec software according to the developer's instructions.

Then check to see if you've removed all of the supporting files by downloading and running the shareware app Find Any File to search for any files with the application's or the developer's name in the file name.  For Norton/Symantec software you'd do the following search(es):

1 - Name contains symantec

2 - Name contains norton

Any files that are found can be dragged from the search results window to the Desktop or Trash bin in the Dock for deletion.

FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't like invisible folders, system folders and packages.

If you get warnings that the file can't be deleted because it is in use or used by another app boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and delete from there.

Note:  if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries connect it with its charging cable before booting into Safe Mode.  This makes it act as a wired keyboard as will assure a successful boot into Safe Mode.
