OS X Yosemite (Mac OS X v10.10)

 

OS X Mavericks (Mac OS X v10.9) Not to be confused for Classic Mac OS (OS9) or earlier which dates from 2001 or earlier, available as boot in Macs up to 2003, and is available in PowerPC Macs as virtualization through Mac OS X 10.4.11 in Classic environment.  Go to Apple menu -> About This Mac to determine if "X" is in the name and pick the one you have.  If you have an earlier version of Mac OS X, see the forums below for 10.9, 10.8, 10.7, 10.6, 10.5, 10.4, and 10.3 or earlier.
