Itunes cannot read contents of the iPad

I have a problem, a have an older post sayng that itunes cannot backup iPad. After many thries it all went to **** with

ITUNES CANNOT READ CONTENTS OF THE IPAD. PLEASE RESTORE.

The only option I have is to restore, which on my previous post sed that restoring is the last thing I want to do. On the web I red that i m.ust use a program caled the ifunbox to access the secret files on my ipad, and deleate some files (i think they are: itunesCbd or something like that).

Are there any other ways to fix this, is the ifunbox way safe?

Thanks in advance.

Well, I finaly stoped being lazy and decidet to close this topic down. One month ago I was so mad, that I risked the iPad and tried the iFunbox thing.

IT FREAKIN WORKED!!!

Well, I didn't use iFunbox but I rather used iPhone explorer. All I had to do was to deleate somme stuff on my ipad! In your face Apple.

On youtube I saw a video and did what that guy on the video did. Well, thanks to everybody and sorry for posting this so late.

Use ifunbox and go to

raw files

var

mobile

media

itunes control

delete your music folder (it will resync just fine later)

then go to the itunes folder next to it

delete "itunes cdb" and if you have "itunesdb" delete that too

close ifunbox then reopen itunes.

I've done this fix a few times.

This worked for me too, but the folder structure was different on my iPad 2nd gen running IOS 6. Here are my instructions:

Use ifunbox and go to

* raw files

* itunes_control

* delete the "Music" folder (it will resync later)

* Open the iTunes folder

* delete "itunescdb" (if you have "itunesdb" delete that too)

* close ifunbox then reopen itunes

* iTunes will now recognize iPad and resycn and/or backup.
