iOS 9.2.1- Safari crashes everytime you tap on the search/address bar

Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on this device.

• Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
• Press and hold on the Home button
• Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

If this does not help, restore your device to factory settings. Note that this will erase the data from your device.

Try deactivating Safari suggestions (on Settings -> Safari) it's working for me.

Im having the exact same problem. any one have any ideas to rectify?

Deactivate Safari Suggestions. It's a bug on iOS 9.2.1.

Same problem here. This wasn't a problem yesterday and was using 9.2.1 then. Just suddenly started today. Turning off safari suggestions workaround works here.

My husband switched to "private browsing" and it stopped crashing.

To get there click on the Multiple windows in safari button on lower right corner and the private option will be next the plus sign.

Just checked various iPads - any running 9.2.1 have this problem. Those running 8.x don't.

It's a bug with iOS 9.2.1 as I'm having the same issue.
