122 key keyboard support
I have some difficulty in categorizing this question, but this forum at least mentions keyboards. I am picky in keyboards and dislike most of the moderm $9.99 keyboards. I also run some 3270 emulation software (that is an IBM mainframe terminal type). For most applications I have given in and use an Apple Bluetooth Keyboard that looks nice but has a horrible touch. This is after my matias keyboard showed defects.
Now for long stretches of text, or for the 3270 emulator, I am using an IBM 122 key keyboard. It actually is a fairly new Unicomp model, the people in charge of the Lexmark/IBM heritage. It is excellent. I run it over a Sitecom PS2/USB adapter.
The problem is that some keys don't work. Who can point me in the right direction. Does Apple have drivers for these keyboards? Is it the converter that filters the scancodes? Could someone do some custom development for me? On my mainframe software, I do use the 24 function keys. I also would like to use the Apple key, the ones that quits with Q.
Anyone an idea? Thanks in advance.
