favorites on youtube don't show on appletv

Do I have this the right way around? I have favourites on my Youtube account, and I have my username/password correct (at least appleTV seems to think it's logged in), but I get "No content was found". My favourites were things I added in YouTube on the web, not things I added from AppleTV .. does it work that way or will I only see favourites I've added FROM AppleTV?

Any other reason my content is empty?

various Mac OS X (10.4.9)

aha - thanks - you have done two things, one you proved that in fact favourites do work, secondly you introduced me to Chad Vader singing Chocolate Rain, I may not quite be the same again.

I guess that the original guesstimate of getting all the old youtube stuff converted within a few months wasn't realized as my other favourite (which I don't even like any more) still isn't there.

... chocolate rain .. oh god it's stuck in my head now.

They said something about the fall - which technically extends almost until Xmas.
