why does silicon cases attract so much dirt and scuff an iPod?
why do they? Is it basically in their nature? Will dirt be attracted to the back even if the thing is already on the iPod and scratch it more? what's the use of a silicon case, that supposedly protects against scratches but makes new ones?
Mine hasn't done this. Most if not all of the scratches are from before getting silicon case or from putting on desk when syncing. I have to remove from sleeve to plug in so It gets taken on and off every couple days.
Silicone sleeves do vary in stickyness, from barely sticky to attracting dust from across the room :-
iFrogz makes decent silicons sleeve, sticky but not so bad as to be uncleanable. I have a yellow one and a black one. The black one doesn't show anything but the yellow one is showing some staining to surface.
I've used a XtremeMac TuffWrap Accent on mine. I clean the iPod before putting it in the sleeve, and I make sure the sleeve is clean as well. I have not had any issues with scuffing. Some dirt does stick to the sleeve, but it isn't bad IMHO. My iPod still looks basically new.
